I have been traveling around Vietnam on a motorcycle called a SYM. The SYM is a replica of a very popular motorcycle called the Honda Wave. The Honda Wave is the modern version of the most sold motorcycle in the world called the Honda Cub. Over 87 million Honda Cubs have been sold around the world. There are fan clubs and websites dedicated to this motorcycle.
This type of motorcycle is often called an underbone motorcycle because the engine is located below a single steel rod (bone) that connects the front to the rear of the motorcycle. The simple design is economical and utilitarian because the low center of gravity enables the motorcycle to support incredible amounts of weight.
In Vietnam these types of motorcycle are everywhere. In fact in Vietnam Hondas have been and are so popular that people often refer to any motorcycle as a Honda. These little motorcycles are used for basic transportation, but also to haul all kinds of things. So based on all the Hondas I saw hauling all kinds of things, I came up with this post called…What are you hauling on your Honda?
The most basic thing to haul on a Honda is a friend...
Or family...
Boxes...
Bags...
Produce...
Firewood...Goats… or in this case two goats...
Pigs...
Plastic animals...Garbage or recyclables...
A mobile restaurant...
Jackfruit… this guy certainly deserves some kind of award for hauling such a large load...
Even a metal structure the size of a small home.
