On my third day in Puebla I took my time to take a detailed look at some of the noted sites.
The Iglesia de Santo Domingo was nothing special on the outside. It was right down the street from my hotel and I passed by many times during my first few days in Puebla. Until, the girl at the hotel told me to go inside.
OK, so the sanctuary was big and ornate.
Then I noticed some of the faithful walking into this side chapel that was on the left.
Turns out that the Capilla del Rosario (Chapel of Rosario) is covered with...
...real gold.
It kind of explains why there was security around the church.
In the evening I caught this performance of traditional dance at the Casa de Cultura (House of Culture). There are performances of some type almost every night.
